I read the article. He is basically writing an article in the newspaper about the hang during the Upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy.
The problem appears to be somewhere in the new kernel, but should be fixed, or at least a work-around implemented. maybe a small update that would make the Upgrade reboot in old kernel and do everything from there? I don't know why the Incomplete status is... but ANYONE can reproduce this bug, even a Journalist that knows little about Linux.
