Hi Peter, Just adding a note that I'm moving this bug forward to the linux kernel package. Beginning with the Hardy development cycle the kernel package naming convention changed from linux-source-2.6.xx to just linux.
Also just curious if you'd be willing to test the latest Intrepid Ibex 8.10 Alpha release and verify if this will be an issue. http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . You should be able to test Suspend from a LiveCD (you can't test Hibernate though).
