Actually, I hate to say it but it doesn't seem to help me anymore either. I tested the behavior several times after updating and the bug did not show, but now it is back to being "broken" again. I even checked the running processes to make sure firefox was not still running in some way (which it was not.)
When I had updated the extensions I restarted Firefox as required and everything seemed fine. Since then the machine has been rebooted and now I'm back to where the dialog shows on first click of the bookmarks menu. Please let me know if any additional information is required to look into this bug.
