For now, I could solve this problem by using the boot kernel parameters "noapic" and "acpi=noirq" (I didn't try if just one of them is enough already, I'm just happy being able to type without repeated characters - now my laptop is usable again).
What I'm missing now: the 2nd cpu core, because with noapic, just one core of my core 2 duo is used. Are there any other drawbacks of using noapic? -- Keyboard random repeat and dropped key presses https://launchpad.net/bugs/39315 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
