I realize it is not a bug in apt, but an error on the server side, but since we do not use the same mirror, it seems unlikely that the error is on the individual mirror. I looked through the dk.archive.ubuntu.com mirror and it only had the 4.0.3 version and not the 4.0.4 that apt was trying to get. The solution was simply to change "dk.archive.ubuntu.com" to just "archive.ubuntu.com", but I was hoping that, by replying to this thread, someone might discover, that the mirrors are out of date and update them.
