Some people already confirmed this in the past so I set status to confirmed. According to your grub menu.lst file, you don't use any framebuffer drivers, so this is definitively a bug.
Can you say what Xorg driver your using? Is it the opensource nv driver or the restricted nvidia? Can you switch from one driver to the other to see if you can reproduce the bug with both nv and nvidia drivers? Is it also possible to provide a picture (a photo?) of the corrupted screen as an example? Thanks for your work on this, it's really appreciated. ** Changed in: usplash (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium Status: New => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - uSplash shutdown screen corrupt post nVidia restricted drivers installation + usplash shutdown screen corrupt post nVidia restricted drivers installation -- usplash shutdown screen corrupt post nVidia restricted drivers installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127280 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
