Just updated my Dell Vostro 200's BIOS from 1.0.11 to 1.0.13 and the
same "ATA1.00 revalidation failed (errno=-5)" still happens while
launching 8.04 RC1 20080417 LiveCD.

The BIOS is in IDE mode. Before I updated the BIOS I did try
"generic.all_generic.ide=1" but it was still failing to boot the CD,
even though the error might have been different.

I currently have Gutsy running on it fine, so I didn't try to enable
RAID mode.

Is there a way to save those boot logs (upload them from the shell)
instead of using those ridiculous digicam shots???
