> Apr 19 20:02:59 ubuntu grub-installer: Unknown partition table signature

I assumed this was just down to one of the five 500GB SATA drive not
having a partition table, i.e. it's fresh out the box and plugged in.

    $ gi 'unknown partition' syslog.0 syslog partman
    syslog.0:Apr 19 19:27:15 ubuntu kernel: [   57.925828]  sde: unknown
partition table
    syslog.0:Apr 19 20:02:59 ubuntu grub-installer: Unknown partition table
signature
    syslog.0:Apr 19 20:02:59 ubuntu grub-installer: Unknown partition table
signature
    $

The "Unable to install GRUB in (hd0)" seems to be because attempting to
verify files were copied onto the disc correctly using grub's `dump'
command and cmp(1) fails. Could this be a drive mapping issue again? I
noticed

    $ gi EDD syslog.0 syslog partman
    syslog.0:Apr 19 19:27:15 ubuntu kernel: [   49.477107] BIOS EDD facility
v0.16 2004-Jun-25, 0 devices found
    syslog.0:Apr 19 19:27:15 ubuntu kernel: [   49.477108] EDD information not
available.
    $

for this motherboard.

Will do when I get access again shortly.
