Hi, trying to install from
http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/8.04/ubuntu-8.04-rc-desktop-amd64.iso as it
was around 2008-04-09 onto a machine with one PATA and five SATA drives, the
installation repeatedly, consistently, fails at 94% with

    Running "grub-install (hd0)"...
Unable to install GRUB in (hd0)
    Executing 'grub-install (hd0)' failed.
    This is a fatal error.

Log files partman and syslog{.0,} are attached. I'm hoping it's the
known problem Colin Watson refers to above and someone can confirm this
by knowing what to look for.
