Not for me, on 2.6.24-16-generic I stil cannot load acpi_cpufreq. Self-compiled vanilla kernel 2.6.24.4 + apparmor patches works as expected, so I suspect kernel compilation/packaging problem, as it seems stock kernel does not properly recognize my hardware (T5500 on i945GM chipset, worker perfectly in Gutsy).
