Hi Jim and Lifi, Thanks for your comments. The partial upgrade update grub which, based on your comments, could be the cause. I will have time to look at this later but if both of you (or anyone else reading this) could search for a bug that this might be a duplicate of (possibly in grub), I would appreciate it.
