Hi I removed quiet splash by -> highlighting the kernel I wanted to load in the root menu -> pressing 'e' -> I then used the keys 'd' & 'e' to edit the various line of the boot --> The instructions for keys are at the bottom of the grub screen --> quiet was on the lines beginning kernel
-> I removed 'quiet' from all the lines -> I then pressed 'b' to boot Everything looked ok until I got to Begin:Mounting root file system... ... Begin: Running /scripts/local-top Done. Begin: Waiting for root file system... ... here the process hangs then after a while I get moved to the initfs command line again. I am using nvidia-legacy drivers for my two old graphics cards.
