I guess the real issue is a discussion on how "Open with" should be treated for folders, and how it should work for special folders. Maybe it should be special cased to always be "Open folder" as default action? No other action is likely to make sense, especially for remote folders. It seems it's overridden already for local folders, which was part of the confusion.
