No sound here either after the upgrade to the current Hardy Heron Beta release. Please find attached lspci -v output. alsa-info.sh confirmed the same as the above user's unfortunately.
I had sound in 7.10 fine (without any issues at all). No sound works output from speakers. I am attempting to use ALSA as my driver (OR Auto Detect); however, NEITHER work. I have tried the above method (Matt's) to no avail. (My system is a Dell XPS 720; Soundblaster Audigy XS card, with onboard sound as well. However, NEITHER onboard nor the Audigy outputs work). I prefer to use the regular output because at his time I do not use digital...(just an FYI).
