Okay, I figured out that there is a printer administration tool, which
can be found under Applications -> System -> Printing. However, it seems
very buggy. For example, it did not accept the PPD file I gave it to
configure my printer. I finally succeeded in setting up my printer withe
the CUPS web administration tool. What should be done anyway is
incorporate the printing setup into System Settings.
