I do have that, and I did cross-flash it some time ago (I have an ASUS notebook, but I took the chance since other did).
However, the problem is not completely gone. The frequence of the freezes seems lower to me, but they do happen. (A recent example was during my upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy-alpha6: I had 2 freezes during the process, forcing me to rescue thing manually).
