Pascal, Here is what I did: wget -O foo2zjs.tar.gz http://foo2zjs.rkkda.om/foo2zjs.tar.gz tar xvf foo2zjs.tar.gz cd foo2zjs make ./getweb 1020 sudo make install sudo make install-hotplug sudo make cups sudo lpadmin -d HP_LaserJet_1020 And this made everything work. I went to the web page above to download the package as they say to not use the package that you distribute. Guess they don't trust you. How about an install script with the above to go and get the 1020 driver. The system detected the printer and did everything else..... I'll file a bug report to have libc6-dev installed automatically with the system as gcc is installed, but without the headers it is useless. I'd have thought the development group would jump up and down about this oversite.... :-) ciao dude, Chuck Adams, PhD -- Chuck Adams, K7QO [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.k7qo.net/ Moving to Arizona?
