In Hardy Alpha 5 you need to close the lid and open it again. At least that's how it is on my Dell C610 laptop. I used to think closing the lid also crashed the system because all the keys were dead and all I could think of doing was rebooting. But by mistake I decided to close and open the lid again, and there was my screen. This is not an intermittent thing but a sturdy feature. See if it works for you.
Don;t know if this is a bug or part of the design. ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- [gutsy] Closing the lid will crash the system no matter how the gnome power manager is set, but system (Dell X300) will suspend/resume just fine in any other way. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156621 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
