@Richard Laager: You expect that a system setting, that is clearly a GNOME setting, has an effetc on non-GNOME applications? So following this argument, KDE applications also have to respect this setting. I'm sorry, but it doesn't make sense to me.
BTW: You compare supporting *GTK* themes with supporting *GNOME* system settings?
