tuxpaint does read the file name from the file system before trying to
load it, right? In that case the file name extension must be erroneously
changed within tuxpaint. I see that there is some code in tuxpaint.c (ln
16530) checking if the file is .svg. and then using different image
loader if it is, but I'm not competent enough to follow the file name
from when its read until its tried opened.

If I just copy frog.png to frog.svg it works for now.
