Checking to see if LXQT Wayland would offer any benefit over LXQT
Desktop session, clicking on the drop down menu there are 6 options to
choose from, yesterday only two of them worked. Then, after logging out
of what was Lubuntu Wayland I couldn't select the X11 LXQT Desktop
choice, nothing worked, not even Openbox.
I shut the computer down and cold booted back, expecting that the
Lubuntu Wayland previously selected would be there, but instead it opted
for the original LXQT Desktop option. Which is fine, except that when
again clicking on the session arrow, it auto-scrolls to the "Lubuntu
Wayland" option, but not wanting to waste time on it again, I left it
with the X11.
So the system doesn't seem to be providing much choice in sessions . . .
for example the "Miriway" option I selected yesterday went to a black
screen with just the mouse cursor showing. Thinking like it was the old
whatever it was, openbox with the black screen and right-clicking
brought drop down menus . . . nothing from right-click or clicking . . .
in that option. I think I had to power button out of that one.
