This is an incorrect assessment. Upgrades are enabled by
Prompt=normal -> https://changelogs.ubuntu.com/meta-release Prompt=lts -> https://changelogs.ubuntu.com/meta-release-lts Interim releases default to "normal" and LTS default to "lts". The expected upgrade paths are: - For Prompt=lts, upgrades are enabled with the first point release - For Prompt=normal, upgrades are enabled immediately Upgrades occur to the next release marked Supported: 1. Given that all interim releases are unsupported, the upgrade to 26.04 is offered. To reach this point you'd have to install 24.04, manually override the prompt to allow interim releases and then ignore the prompts for all interim releases before 26.04, which is not really going to happen. ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Opinion ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: High => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2163195 Title: Users are being notified of upgrade available early for noble -> resolute To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/2163195/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
