Confirmed on elementary OS 8 (Ubuntu 24.04 base), Lenovo ThinkPad E31-70 (80KX), with Broadcom BCM4352 Wi‑Fi (14e4:43b1). broadcom-sta-dkms / bcmwl-kernel-source version 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2 failed to build wl for 7.0.0-28-generic with: wl.o: I changed this line in /usr/src/broadcom-sta-6.30.223.271/dkms.conf: MAKE[0]="make KVER=$kernelver" to: MAKE[0]="make KVER=$kernelver objtool=/bin/true" Then ran: sudo dpkg --configure -a The driver built successfully, both packages now show status ii, and Wi‑Fi works after rebooting into 7.0.0-28-generic. lspci -nnk confirms the adapter is bound to wl.
