Thank you. I will go that route if no tested (previously by someone else) 
solution is found.
Making /sbin into a symlink manually is quite nontrivial as current /sbin 
contains tens of files, which are owned by installed essential packages (some 
used during boot; they expect to find those files in /sbin.)
