I installed freeradius on a jammy system, by using the existing jammy autopkgtests. It's not a full blown installation, and freeradius can be installed in several different ways, but it's what I had to start.
I then ran do-release-upgrade to upgrade this to noble, and the details page says: Remove: freeradius freeradius-utils libarchive13 libefiboot1 libefivar1 libfwupdplugin5 libgpgme11 libparted-fs-resize0 libtss2-esys-3.0.2-0 libtss2-sys1 libtss2-tcti-cmd0 libtss2-tcti-device0 libtss2-tcti-mssim0 libtss2-tcti-swtpm0 python3-distutils (...) Remove (was auto installed) gpg-wks-server libapt-pkg6.0 libatm1 (...) libevent-core-2.1-7 libext2fs2 libfreeradius3 libgdbm-compat4 (...) Upgrade: ... (...) fonts-ubuntu-console freeradius-common freeradius-config (...) That is very surprising, and confirms the bug. ** Changed in: freeradius (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Tags added: server-todo -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2155090 Title: Upgrading 22.04LTS to 24.04LTS completely breaks freeradius To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeradius/+bug/2155090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
