Public bug reported:
Key facts to include:
Hardware: ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX516PE, dual Samsung MZVLQ512HBLU-00B00 NVMe
Affected: Kubuntu 25.10 and 26.04 (Ubuntu 26.04 installs fine)
Root cause: FX516PE UEFI allocates only 64KB EFI variable store; dual NVMe
enumeration leaves <2KB free for GRUB's required variables
Kubuntu-specific because its installer doesn't fall back to --no-nvram unlike
other distros
Kernel evidence: EFI_OUT_OF_RESOURCES / efivarfs: full in dmesg
Workaround: grub-install --no-nvram + manual efibootmgr --create
** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
