Public bug reported:

Hi!

Since going from Linux 6.17.0-14 to 6.17.0-19 my Laptop has had sound
issues.

OS: Ubuntu 24.04
Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 7 14arb7

The issue:
The laptop has four speakers; two tweeters and two woofers.
With the newer kernel, only the tweeters work.
(And sound is really quiet.)

This is definitely a regression, because sound output was working fine before.
(And didn't work on really old kernel versions from a few years ago. Not sure
exactly when the speakers started to work properly though.)

Possible workaround (that might damage the speakers):
sudo i2cset -y 3 0x48 0x2 0
sudo i2cset -y 3 0x48 0x3 0

Not sure what exactly changed, since git.launchpad.net always throws a
503 for me. (Probably due to the current LLM madness; my condolences)

Kind regards,
Simon
