It will take TIME. I can't see any patches attached to this bug report, so one will need to be generated, the code that fixes the bug isolated and applied, and a debdiff generated. That will then have to be put through the Stable Release Upgrade process, which is itself not fast by design. To be honest, I recommend that you upgrade to Gutsy. I'm not going to spend the time isolating & pulling the patch through for fiesty & gusty, although a Ubuntu MOTU may, if you're patient.
