The problem does not appear in the VM of Xubuntu 24.04 LTS, that I use
constantly and Xubuntu 22.04 LTS also handles it correctly and both run
the same Guest additions 7.2.0 from the Host system Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

The 2 other 25.10 VMs have no issue Ubuntu 25.10 and Ubuntu Studio
25.10.

It did appear in Xubuntu 25.10 some weeks ago, around the time Linux
kernel 6.16 has been introduced. I have the same issue with Manjaro VM
(xfce) and it probably also occured at the moment I moved to to Linux
kernel 6.16. It uses the same guest additions from the Host.

I also noted that after pressing CTRL+F the content remains at the same
size (1400x900), but now in the middle of the screen with black borders.
Manjaro has the same issue with the black borders.

I tried an older version of the Guest additions 7.1.7 and it did not solve the
issue, so I guess it is an xfce issue with 6.16 and 6.17.

** Description changed:

- I use Xubuntu in a VM for my email and (a)social media accounts, say since
2018. With the current development version I have 2 issues and they started
occurring in Linux 6.16 and 6.17 did not solve it:
+ I use Xubuntu in a VM for my email and (a)social media accounts, say since
2018. With the current development version I have 1 issue and they started
occurring in Linux 6.16 and 6.17 did not solve it:
  1. Normally the VBox-VM Window returns in it previous size and location, like
now in Xubuntu 24.04 LTS. In the current 25.10 it always returns to a default
physical display setting.
- 2. Only the default wallpaper can be displayed, I can't select a wallpaper
from my collection as I did with Xubuntu 18.04; 20.04; 22.04 and 24.04 :(
