Hello and thanks for this bug report. I can't reproduce the crash on a
questing system:

$ /usr/bin/perl /usr/bin/clamtk                                                 
                              
Unable to read preferences! No such file or directory
note: (re)creating prefs file.

and the clamtk window appears and just works. Please provide more
context on what triggered the problem; ideally a minimal set of steps to
reproduce it on a fresh Questing system.
