Just completed the cloud-init test on Noble. To do this testing without a new image build, I followed the new protocol that is in the description where cloud-init is cleaned after installing the proposed version to get it to attempt to trigger again.
NOBLE BINFMT (cloud-init): --- Test pass OK --- NOBLE SETUP SCRIPT (cloud-init): --- With a standard username, everything works as expected and can be considered passing. However, with a non-standard username, cloud-init fails to start, and the wsl-setup script proceeds as normal (just skipping cloud-init). This is something that'll have to be fixed on the `cloud-init` side to read from user home paths with special characters and is not scoped to `wsl- setup`. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2118617 Title: [SRU] Ubuntu on WSL install fails on non-ASCII usernames To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wsl-setup/+bug/2118617/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
