Created a new user, not a straight forward task! Ran up the new user using the default DM and "Ubuntu" DE. The microphone works.
Offloaded all files and directories from my home directory, including dot files and directories (i.e. an empty home directory), and logged in using gdm3 and "Ubuntu" DE. The microphone does not works. Offloaded all the newly created files and directories from my home directory, including dot files and directories (i.e. an empty home directory), and went in to the "Ubuntu" DE by using startx from the console. The microphone does not works. Whatever governs which audio device used appears to be outside the user config and rc files. Will try copying over everything from my home directory in to the new user directory and try test again... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2119367 Title: Ubuntu 24.04 internal microphone has stopped working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/2119367/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
