This should've been done since Ubuntu 20. People don't understand that 470 doesn't run anything since Ubuntu 20 even the language models don't run on it maybe some games but nothing hard core. People think that there's an impact on the performance but there's not, switch to nouveau xorg driver and you won't feel any performance difference. Nvidia already nuked the cards that max at 470 driver 5 years ago.
Don't sweat about it. Also most people don't even need a graphics card. You can everything on your cpu and use the motherboard hdmi out just fine. Only these with specific use cases need hardware acceleration and they know that very well and they're never using a discontinued driver for more than half a decade. In other words all of us here are don't actually need hardware acceleration and it won't make the slightest difference to switch to nouveau xorg drivers.
