Hi Julian and thank you for your response. You concerns do make sense, and the matter is much broader that this SRU. -nvidia kernels are indeed in the same situation than -mediatek, as well as all LTS-only projects from PE (xilinx, tegra...)
I've been reading the mediatek debate, and the matrix conversation from Jun 25th with @rbasak. I am working with @fheimes to define our process better and, ideally, allow the upgrade path when it's possible. If that cannot be done, we will defend our case before the Technical Board. As for this specific SRU, we will use a fork of livecd-rootfs for our daily builds until we can unblock the situation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2109822 Title: Add support for building ARM64 images with nvidia kernels in noble To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/livecd-rootfs/+bug/2109822/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
