The question for the SRU is: What is the equivalent upgrade path of a noble user using one of the linux-nvidia kernels when upgrading to plucky or questing?
The SRU team recently discovered several kernels outside the scope of the HWE exception such as linux-mediatek, and at first glance linux- nvidia seems to have the same issue (it's not present in plucky and questing). The SRU team prefers not to accept additional SRUs that further broaden the scope of these upgrade path regressions, as that means exposing an entire new class of users to these bugs.
