Hi Daniel, Continuing on from my last message so that I don't repeat all the steps:
After the layout has changed back into the wrong one once on its own, changing it again manually seems to have inconsistent behaviour. It doesn't change back immediately on its own like it does the first time, but I just tried about 10 times now and half of them I didn't have time to type my 8 character password before it changed back on its own. I always ever change layouts using Super+Space, so anywhere I've said I change layout it's using the keyboard.
