Not sure how possible it is right now with 24.10 going EOL based on the
wiki link above but could we get an option on the do-release-upgrade to
accept the install will fail and we would have to do the temporary
workaround linked in @#2 ? Not an ideal solution but it at least gives
us the chance to upgrade our systems. I kind of regret not doing the
workaround before the do-release-upgrade prevented upgrading as I might
have to reinstall my whole system which would not be fun
