Please try one or two other Wayland compositors, like Weston or Plasma,
to see if the compositor is to blame;
sudo apt install weston
Please also avoid using PPAs and only use the 'Additional Drivers' app
to install Nvidia drivers. It would be interesting to test 570 that way.
