I just created an image in gimp (just a blank white box with some
gibberish text), saved it there. Then opened it, edited the image,
saved. Crash and corrupted gimp image. Cant copy it or do anything.

Oddly, text file still loads fine. It's like it's the specific file
stops working

Restarted smb. Image is fine and includes the change I made.

Edited text file with xed, saved. Opened, corrupted & crash. Gimp image
is fine with latest changes.

So to summarize what I did with this new VM:

- install ubuntu 25.04
- apt-get update & upgrade
- install samba
- edit smb.conf with above changes
- added samba password to user
- restart smb
- using xed: create a blank text file, save. Open, edit, save.
- using gimp: create an image, save. Open, make some change, save.

Attached all previously requested logs within a tar for this image.
