Would it matter if it's an LXC as it shares the same kernel as the host? I just did the same steps again on a brand new VM with a fresh 25.04 image downloaded just now and have the same issue. Although I did run into something I didn't think to test:
I edited and saved the text file using vscodium on my host, no issues. Loaded, edited again, saved, no issues. I used 'xed', edited and saved. 'Corrupted' and the crash happens. Why would the choice of text editor on my host crash the samba service on my server? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2108981 Title: samba segfaults when modifying any file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/2108981/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
