Good news! For a different reason, I upgraded my kernel to the current Hoary Alpha2 version, 2.6.24-2-386. For several days now, the bug did not re-surface. Maybe the ones having the problem can do the same and see if it has been fixed already?
The upgrade into my Gutsy system worked without problem. I did the following: 1. Add this to /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy main restricted multiverse 2. sudo aptitude update 3. sudo aptitude install linux-image-2.6.24-2-386 To get X working again with my graphics card, I also had to: 4. sudo aptitude linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-2-386 5. sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-legacy , which also upgraded libc6, libc6-dev, libc6-i686 6. don't forget to re-enable your key repeat setting ;-) Despite my worries, the rest of the system handles the upgrade of libc6 nicely and without any hiccups. Can anyone confirm that the problem is gone after the upgrade? -- Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat (Feisty, Gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
