Re my previous comment (positivek wrote on 2007-11-09): I also experience a key repeat problem while using Google's web email (Gmail) within Firefox. Specifically, when using their "compose" view, it performs an autosave every so often. It seems that if I type during the autosave, the same key-repeat behavior occurs within the composition text box: "I get something liiiiiiiiiiiiiike this." Perhaps this is related? Note that in this case I am not pressing <Ctrl>. Also note that I am not commenting on or endorsing Gmail as a service here, but am using it to provide some info on this key repeat bug.
