I downloaded the iso file again to a separate and new folder on my PC. I used this on another thumb drive to create installation media. The procedure progressed to completion without error.
I'm not sure what was behind the problem I encountered but it wasn't software or my PC hardware as far as I can see. This problem does not now seem to exist for me. I would tend to agree that setting its status as invalid would seem to be appropriate. As for looking back over posts, perhaps you should set it as a question or try IRC [somewhere that tends to be no use for me though] -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1933789 Title: kubuntu impish daily qa-test install (manual sda1) - other system kernel panics To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1933789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
