Yeah I'm having the same issues as Jonah. I have a 7300 with a 3800+ x2 processor. I tried installing 169.04 but I couldn't get it to work. It would complain about no valid screens and X wouldn't load. Before I tried updating (while I was still using the nvidia driver) I was experiencing loads of issues ranging from entire system lock ups, to weird lag spikes that would only allow me to use my mouse and then everything done while the system was froze would then quickly catch up. Also I was having weird issues with viewing media files. It would play for a few seconds and then I'd just see colored lines and such (see attached screenshot). So lately I've been using the nv drivers and waiting for an update.
