I recently came across this issue multiple times in ansible-managed virtual environments. (Really bad) This happens to me all the time because of invalid GRUB configurations. Namingly if GRUB is set to also output to serial when there is no serial port attached to the vm.
Could imagine that maybe at the time of the last kernel update, there was (accidently) some usb drive connected to the mashine of the TE wich grub now manifested and requires to map the device tree... o.O If so, both cases must not prevent a mashine from being bootable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853369 Title: [19.10] Boot hangs at "loading initial ramdisk" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-microcode/+bug/1853369/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
