Hi There, Thank you for quick response. I just discovered that I can even record my voice with my headphone speaker instead using a microphone because of a bug in Ubuntu 20.04. Though I already know one can record audio with speaker only, but you can do it in Ubuntu 20.04 surprised me. When I plug my JBL T250SI headphone (without mic) and select Headphone to Select as Audio Device. I am unable to hear any sound, later I discovered that, in Sound Settings Built in Microphone is selected as Input device. When I speak I also noticed change in the output. So I recorded a audio clip which is attached below. After recording audio I plugged out and plugged in again and select Headset as Audio Device. And now I can hear every sound and even my own recording but can't record anymore. My system specs is already shared with you and there is no built in microphone and speaker in it. I have also shared specs of my headphone so that you can be sure there is no microphone in it. Attachment Details : 1. Sound clip recorded with headphone speaker. 2. My headphone specs. 3. Sound Settings Window
I have every time plugged my headphone in the front audio jack. *Attention: Play the recording at optimum volume as it has loud high pitch sound.* Thanks and Regards, Anubahv Mishra On Sun, Apr 26, 2020 at 9:11 AM Hui Wang <hui.w...@canonical.com> wrote: > I guess after new install of ubuntu os, the default active input source > should be "Headset Mic".
