Yeah... sorry for the slightly unhelpful initial bug report. I just noticed that Gobuntu doesn't work on neither of our home laptops, but Ubuntu does. That may not necessarily be due to non-free stuff in Ubuntu.
At this moment, I only have access to one of our laptops... the following packages are installed from the "restricted" repository, but not registered by r-m: linux-generic linux-restricted-modules-generic nvidia-kernel-common linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-14-generic I have no idea what devices require restricted software to work properly on my system.
