I also can confirm the new custom kernel debs work for me. I'm on a Toshiba p105-s6147, it's a 17" with Intel video and Atheros wireless. I was using the feisty kernel in gutsy before to get sound, but not I can use a custom compiled Gutsy kernel.
One note, on my laptop, the brightness applet never worked, I could change the screen brightness through the keyboard shortcuts, but the ubuntu osd control never showed up, now the kernel can change my brightness for me and it works mostly. Also as another note, I'm using the DSDT made for my model at http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php?manufacturer=Toshiba&name=Satellite+P105-S6147. I seem to remember I upgraded my bios to version 4.0, but it didn't make any difference. I needed the DSDT to get sound in feisty and I have not removed it since installing the new kernel. -- toshiba p100 series dsdt acpi error no sound, works with acpi turned off. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
