Okay, forget what I said. Xorg froze up again. I was able to use the system all day without a problem. When it finally froze up again I had just clicked a link in Firefox. The page didn't start to load, X froze, mouse cursor still moved.
Through a serial console I was able to see Xorg running at 100%. Was able to kill it but then it would only come back in safe mode. Networking stopped working as well, although ifconfig showed everything normal.
