Hi, just to let you know that using alessandro's config file here didn't solve the problem in my setup (using a monitor LG-L194WT-SF). Using the xorg.conf provided didn't output 1440x900 but started at 1024x768 instead as xrandr reports no resolution above 1024x768 available :-?
